A new web scam to be aware of....

Hello All. Just spotted this. It seems there's another new way for people to part you from your hard earned money while you're online - called Tab-napping. It's quite easy to avoid as long as you're aware of it, so have a look at the link below and circulate it around: http://uk.biz.yahoo.com/07062010/389/tab-napping-new-online-scam.html

Another Monday, Another Daylight Burglary

7th June
This time in Avon Dassett (near the top of the village). Not a lot a detail yet but it was messy and expensive electrical items were taken.
It appears that the thief was attracted by a parcel hung on the front door, a window was forced to gain entry.
Please remind people to make arrangements if they are expecting a packet too large for the letterbox.

Distraction Burglary - Another elderly person targeted by white male (30) pretending to be a Police Officer

Please can we make you aware that at just before 2.30pm on 1 June a male called at the home of an elderly resident in Starbold Road, Bishops Itchington purporting to be a Police Officer.
The offender showed the resident a form of identification and then the resident became suspicious and slammed the door. The offender then attempted to enter the house via a rear window but failed to get in.
The male is described as white, aged around 30. He was not wearing a uniform and had a medium build and short fair hair.
Please remain alert, on the lookout for suspicious persons or activity around the homes of elderly neighbours. Please report anything that you consider to be out of the ordinary or of concern to police. Thankyou.
